General Description Haematococcus microalgae extract blended into high oleic safflower oil. Manufactured into 500 mg gelcaps.
Source of Astaxanthin Extracted oleoresin of Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae.
Regulatory Status FDA-reviewed and allowed as dietary supplement (August 1999). This product is free of genetically modified organisms and ingredients (non-GMO). Cyanotech Corporation is ISO and NPA-GMP Certified.

Gelcap Contents Food Grade high oleic safflower oil (non-GMO), 400-440 mg per gelcap, containing 50 mg Haematococcus algae extract per gelcap (includes a minimum of 4 milligrams Astaxanthin and approximately 40 micrograms of lutein, 64 micrograms of Beta-Carotene, and 72 micrograms of Canthaxanthin*). 10 mg natural non-GMO vitamin E, containing 67% d-alpha tocopherol, added to enhance stability (total vitamin E activity = 10 IU). 500 mg total contents. 9.5 kcal/gram.
Gelcap Shell Composition 40% gelatin, 40% water, 20% glycerin, weight approximately 250 mg (Oval-10 gelcap). Dissolution time: 15-20 minutes (USP 711). Gelatin is certified BSE-free.

Storage and Shelf Life For maxiumum stability store in original containers below 8 degrees Celcius. Stability of gelcaps will depend on the customer's packaging. Cyanotech recommends storage in tightly closed containers with desiccant for stability up to 3 years after date of manufacture at room temperature and low humidity.

BioAstin® Tablet Grade Beadlets


Specifications and General Composition
General Description The Dark red lipid extract of Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae is encapsulated into tablet-grade gelatin beadlets. BioAstin® Tablet Grade Beadlets contain a minimum of 1.35% astaxanthin by weight plus other naturally occurring mixed carotenoids equivalent to a 1.59% astaxanthin complex, (+/-10%). Natural Mixed Tocopherols
(1-2%) are added as a natural antioxidant to inhibit oxidation. This product also contains Vitamin C (as Ascorbyl Palmitate, 2-3%).
Particle size 100% through No.20 U.S. Standard Sieve (<850 micron).
